Ginger Snaps




 Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F.

Cream shortening and sugar.

Add molasses and eggs.

Beat well.  Then add rest of dry ingredients and mix well.

Roll into small balls.

Dip into sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
